Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born 16 March, 1984, in Kildare Ireland. The comedian has been on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea's professional career started in 2011 as a comedian following her appearance in a few parts on Irish and British television shows beginning in 2009. Following 2012, she was being featured in sketch comedy programs as well as sitcoms and similar shows. After she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) and began to be featured frequently in panel programs. She was a member of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team between 2016 and 2017 and is an ongoing contestant on its spinoff show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012 she won the So You Think You're Funny Award for the second time. Bea is her surname to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh is a Kildare born woman. Born on March 16th 1984. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet who took his own life after Bea turned three, was an suicide victim. Bea was informed of his death only at 13 years old. In 2017, she wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and adopted her stage name Bea to pay tribute. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) an elementary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a professional jockey for a time. The family was obsessed with horses and racing. Bea began her career as an official guide for tourists at the Irish National Stud. But she quickly realized that her passion was for acting, not racing.
